Mako

Mako is a new emerging Irish band represented by AMA Music Agency. Mako consists of Declan O’Shea and Christian Montagne, former members of the band Cyclefly. Mako represents the re-emergance of Cyclefly, but with a more mature sound. Their new project retains the edgy rock sound that cyclefly possessed but with mellow elements. Mako have received significant recognition since they re-emergened onto the music scene, The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences placed Mako on the official ballot for The Grammy Awards 2011. They were nominated for Best Rock Performance by a duo or group, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Album (for their album “Living on air”), Best Rock Song (Miss Alison).
