Dublin six piece Royseven have built an international reputation based on the success of their debut album The Art Of Insincerity, a record that saw them tour widely across Europe. Voted the Hope Of 2007 at that year’s Meteor Awards.
2011 saw Royseven return with a new label in Warner Music and with a new sound for a new chapter. “You Say, We Say”, the album, would be the band’s first No 1 album.
“Killer”, the first single to be taken from this new long play was issued in November 2010 by way of introduction to “You Say, We Say”. “We Should Be Lovers”, the second would become the soundtrack of 2011 in Ireland. “We Should Be Lovers” concluded the year as being the most played song on Irish Radio. “Dance” and “No Romance” suitably followed in the mindset of popularity and easily polled Top 20 and Top 30 in the end of year airplay chart. This year “We Should Be Lovers” was also awarded ‘Meteor Choice Music Prize for 2011 Song Of The Year’.
